The cultural tourism sector of Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ), Fujian province is expected to get a boost, according to ptnet.cn on April 14.

The idea came from the visit of an entrepreneur group to Pingtan on April 13. The entrepreneurs were from Dalian-based Wanda Group, Beijing North Star Co, and China Construction Second Engineering Bureau, who wanted to learn about the zone's investment environment for cultural tourism projects.

The delegates toured the zone's planning museum, Jinjingwan Business Operation Center, General's Mountain Scenic Spot, Haitan Ancient City, Aoqian Taiwan Town and other tourist sites.

After the tour, they attended a meeting with local officials. Xu Weize, director of PCPZ's administrative committee, welcomed the delegates and said that Pingtan is a good partner for them. The zone has advantages in policy, location, industries and resources. Xu hoped that the delegation will work with Pingtan to achieve win-win results.

The delegates said that they saw the zone's unique natural landscape, rich tourism resources, convenient traffic and favorable policies. So they want to cooperate with it in cultural tourism sector.
