A delegation led by head of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce Huang Xinluan visited Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ), Fujian, on Feb 15 and 16 to investigate the county's economic operation, industrial development and progress of ongoing projects.

During the two-day visit, the delegates went to the TPK Touch Solution Inc, Liya Shipping Engineering Co and Aoqian Taiwan Town to check the ongoing projects. They also had a meeting with local leaders to learn about the county's latest development, existing problems and solutions.

At the meeting, Xu Weize, director of PCPZ's administrative committee briefed the visiting members about the current development and future planning of the zone's high-tech, finance, tourism and international trade sectors.

Xu mentioned that over the past five years, the zone has got better infrastructure and business environment. Its focus for the new stage is to attract investment with preferential policies and ensure the successful operation of the investment projects.

The director also expected that the provincial government could help the zone bring in top minds and give financial support to accelerate its further development.

Huang Xinluan said that Pingtan has great potential in development. He encouraged local government to keep pursuing innovation in investment system reform and cross-Straits exchanges. The provincial official also suggested the local authorities to do more in investment attraction.
