The authority of Jinjing Bay district of the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) in Fujian province recently announced that it will build three more parks and two more botanic gardens this year, Pingtan Times reported on March 9.

The three new parks will be Jinjing Lake Park, Tianda Mountain Park and Liuqio Park. The two botanic gardens will be built on Niuzhaishan Mountain and Nanzhaishan Mountain.

“Although the construction of those projects are still in the infant stage, officials in Jinjiang Bay have all agreed they are necessary as landscape supplements in the long run,” said Lan Zengming, deputy director of the district’s administration.

An employee with the administration further explained that parks and botanic gardens will help create a livable environment and will thus appeal to more foreigners to settle with more business and investment opportunities.

Xue Zun, a local resident who lives in Jinjing district, hails the plan, saying the he and his family will take a walk in those parks when they are ready.
