41 major projects in the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ), Fujian province, have absorbed 16.4 billion yuan’s worth of investment ($2.7 billion) in the first 10 months of this year, authorities said on Nov 25.

The number accounts for 89 percent of the 18.4 billion-yuan target for the year, said Chen Dongrong, deputy director of the PCPZ’s administrative committee.
