It will be mainly responsible for transportation of materials for the construction of a bridge nearby, which is part of the Fuzhou-Pingtan railway.

Occupying an area of 150 mu (10 hectares), the wharf has four berths which are capable of docking 2,000 ton bulk cargo ships.

There are three functional zones – a quarry, mixing station and steel bar processing.
