Li Dejin, director of the administrative committee of the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, has asked local officials to pay more attention to improving people’s lives.

Li was visiting Daping village in Zhonglou township on April 13, where he went door-to-door to visit with people in need.

The visit was part of the campaign rolled out by the Communist Party of China calling for government officials and cadres to build closer relationships with the people. Li showed concerns over the everyday life of villagers, asking them about their health, their children, and their water supply and housing conditions.

He even left his contact information with some senior CPC members so they can stay in touch.

Local cadres in the village were urged to show more concern for the people and open their minds up to improving their lives.
