The first Pingtan-Taiwan Trade Expo is now going on in Pingtan county, Fujian province. The expo, to last until Nov 24, focuses on fruits, aquatic and agricultural products, tea, alcohol, soft drinks, canned produce and other light industry products from Taiwan. Zhou Qingsong, deputy director of the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone's management committee, said the expo aims to make Pingtan a cross-Straits logistics center and a new channel through which Taiwanese products can enter the Chinese mainland market.
