After three days of intense competition at the Pingtan Kiteboarding World Cup the fourth day brought waves between four and five meters to the coastlines of Pingtan.

The extreme conditions made it impossible to properly set buoys and ensure the safety of the riders so the race director decided to call it a day. The freestylers took advantage of this to go freeride in the waves and enjoy the strong winds.

The skippers meeting will be held at 9:30 AM tomorrow with the possibility of running six slalom races throughout the day. Some waves will still be coming through the competition area and should make for some exciting slalom racing. We will see if Bryan Lake will keep dominating the field or if Julien Kerneur or Oswald Smith can pull off an upset.
