The four-day event's winner for the men's single freestyle elimination went to Youri Zoon, a kitesurfer from the Netherlands. The Spanish athlete Alex Pastor won second place.

In the women's single freestyle elimination, Katia Buena from Poland won the championship.

Among many foreign players at the awards ceremony, Chen Jingle, a Chinese player from Pingtan who won fourth place in the women's single freestyle, was interviewed by reporters. The 12-year-old girl is currently in second grade in a middle school in Pingtan.

"The PKRA World Professional Kitesurfing Tour was once held in my hometown in Pingtan. I was attracted to the game back then and began to take up kite surfing. I practiced for three months before this event. I might not compete with other world-class kitesurfers, but I will try harder and make progress," she said with confidence.

Kitesurfing, or kiteboarding, is a surface water sport combining wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing, paragliding and gymnastics. The PKRA World Professional Kitesurfing Tour is the top-notch kitesurfing event in the world. It is organized by the Professional Kiteboarding Riders Association (PKRA).
