Wu Zhengyan, director of the committee, noted that Pingtan is growing to be a hotspot for Taiwan youth seeking employment or wanting to start a business in recent years.

The plate unveiling ceremony of PATIE's two newly established affiliate working committees – the Youth Working Committee and Women Working Committee – was also held on the day.

The PATIE Youth Working Committee shall devote more efforts to upgrading the platforms such as Taiwan Innovation Park to draw in more Taiwan youth to pursue their dreams in Pingtan.

The Women Working Committee will provide services for Taiwan women, and organize different kinds of activities to enrich their free time in Pingtan.

Since beginning operations in August 2015, Taiwan Innovation Park, a national business incubator, has accommodated a total of 171 companies in various industries, including biological sciences and technology, health management, e-commerce, creative culture and tourism.
