An episode of the famous travel-reality show Lucky Tour Group, which finished shooting in Pingtan, Fujian province last year, is scheduled to be broadcast on Southeast TV on the evening of June 18.

The hit show, jointly sponsored by DYTM and Southeast TV, aims to promote local culture and folk customs by inviting stars to go on an in-depth tour of each shooting destination.

The first season of Lucky Tour Group runs for 12 episodes, and the upcoming episode in Pingtan is the fifth episode. It features an all-star cast, including actor and former diver Tian Liang, actor Zhang Rui and Deric Wan Siu-lun.

Here's a preview of some of the highlights of the episode.

Tengpai performance

The audience will be introduced to Pingtan tengpai performances, a world intangible cultural heritage, through the show.

Tengpai is a kind of cane shield, which became a popular alternative to armor during the late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) campaigns against pirates in southern China.
