Pingtan to hold a cycling race for cross-Straits workers in April

The 2017 Cross-Straits Workers'Cycling Race is scheduled to hit the road in Pingtan, Fujian province, on April 23, according to the Pingtan Center for Cross-Straits Worker Exchanges.

A new record of 1,000 workers from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan will compete in this year's one-day race. Entering its fourth year, the event has attracted 400 cyclists from Taiwan, and brings about some new elements.

The main venue of the event will continue to be the Haiyu Plaza apart from four groups – men's junior mountain, men's senior mountain, women's mountain and road, and a new group set up for elderly cyclists.
