Liu Xuexin, deputy secretary of Fujian Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, urged Pingtan officials to enhance the supervision of risk management, particularly in construction projects involving large numbers of funds.

Liu made the remarks during his visit to the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) on Dec 3. The zone is home to many key projects currently under construction as a part of Pingtan's goal of furthering development and opening up.

The deputy secretary talked with local discipline inspection officials and asked them to handle problems carefully as soon as they are reported. In this approach, Pingtan officials will be able to improve their public service and discipline as well as gain trust.

Liu's next stop was the public security bureau, where he learned more about the construction of the Smart Island service and management center and the bureau's moves to strengthen team building and anti-corruption measures. The deputy secretary praised the Smart Island center for how it gives residents easier, more efficient and more convenient access to the government.

Liu also visited the local planning museum to gain a better understanding of the zone's planning schemes, as well as its administrative approval and business registration system reforms.

Zhang Zhaomin, secretary of PCPZ's Party working committee, promised that they will strengthen planning, management, and supervision in Pingtan to boost its further development.
