Pingtan will introduce a more efficient mechanism to ensure that appeals made by Taiwan merchants are dealt with in a timely manner, said Lin Jiangling, deputy director of administrative committee of Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) of Fujian province, at a seminar held on June 29.

The seminar was organized by the local government to address the issue of Taiwan merchant's voices being heard across the Straits. Many business people attended and gave their suggestions and made appeals on the subject.

Lin said that Pingtan has been committed to serving Taiwan merchants, paying attention to their businesses, and endeavoring to offer timely solutions to their problems.

Lin also urged the relative departments to attend to any appeals and make timely replies.

In addition, the seminar also encouraged the Pingtan Association of Taiwan-funded Enterprises to continue its mission as a bridge between Taiwan merchants and the Pingtan government and to provide better services for Taiwan businesses.

Founded on June 18, 2013, Pingtan Association of Taiwan-funded Enterprises has been dedicated to serving Taiwan merchants and Pingtan's goal of becoming a Common Homeland for people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits.
