Pingtan's smart travel system goes online

People who want to visit Pingtan can now enjoy its beautiful landscape at home, as a smart travel system for the zone went online recently, local tourism development bureau announced on May 5.

The smart system is accessible on the WeChat account named Pingtan Tourism as of this May.

At present, eight scenic spots, including the General's Mountain, Shipaiyang (a reef which is a combination of tablet-shaped rocks), the Deity's Well (a sea-erosion landform), Haitan God (man-shaped stone) and Tannan Bay are available in the system.

And more will be included in the future, said Wang Feng who participated in developing the system.

In addition to displaying pictures of the scenic spots, the travel system is also able to automatically play the introduction to related scenic spots.

The system is still in the initial stage, and more functions such as ticket booking, shopping, and simple visual-reality experience will be added to it, said Wang Feng.
