Art exhibition calls for attention to food security

Residents in the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province had an opportunity to enjoy a special art exhibition from April 29 to May 3, according to ptnet.cn.

The five-day exhibition was sponsored by the local market supervision and management bureau, with an idea of arousing local people's attention to food security.

The exhibition had 150 works on display, featuring calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting. The exhibits combine traditional Chinese art and knowledge of food security, giving visitors a special experience.

Fang Changhui, official of the market supervision and management bureau, explained that they want to impress on the locals the importance of food security through such an innovative move.
