Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone in Fujian province will get a cross-border e-commerce supervision center soon, which will boost its e-commerce industry, local news portal ptnet.cn reported on March 14.

The interior decoration works are going on at the center, which is about to be completed. The center is expected to go operational in the coming month of April.

The center covers an area of 4,781 square meters and consists of a bonded warehouse and office areas.

The warehouse takes up 3,000 sq m, about 63 percent of the center's total space. It will alleviate the zone's shortage of warehousing facilities for cross-border e-commerce. It will also help attract more cross-border e-commerce companies to move in the zone.

At present, many companies expressed their intention to launch e-commerce business in Pingtan. Fujian Kujingtong E-commerce Co, operator of the supervision center is negotiating with nearly fifty such companies.
