Pingtan's entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau in East China's Fujian province recently announced that by the end of 2015, there were 621 local enterprises that have been included into the record for import and export inspection declaration, local news portal ptnet.cn reported on Feb 4.

The number represents an increase of 348 newly-added companies in 2015, up 106 percent year-on-year.

The surge in numbers signals that more and more companies saw potential in Pingtan's preferential policies and moved into the county to expand their business.

To attract more companies, local authorities simplified the inspection declaration procedures to make it easier for them to go through.

Officials with the bureau explained that all the import and export enterprises and export cargo manufacturers shall apply to the inspection and quarantine agencies for record filing. The content includes the companies' basic information and specifics of their import and export goods. Companies that have the record number are allowed to deal with inspection declaration procedures.
