With the idea of expanding businesses in Pingtan, a Chinese philanthropist Chen Guangbiao, president of the Jiangsu Huangpu Investment Co led a group of his managers to Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ), Fujian province, on Dec 16.

Xu Weize, director of the PCPZ's administrative committee welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the zone's opening up and development. Xu said that Pingtan has a good business environment with preferential policies, industrial advantages, favorable location close to Taiwan, good infrastructure and city construction. He also expected Chen to expand his businesses in the zone so as to promote the zone's further development.

Chen said that it was the second time he visited Pingtan and he was impressed by the zone's drastic changes and well-protected ecological environment. Chen added that he now has confidence to develop businesses in Pingtan and hoped that local authorities will give him strong support.

The philanthropist also mentioned that he will continued to do charity in the zone and will invest over 40 percent of his profits gained from local businesses in charity programs and environment protection.
