846 enterprises have applied to settle in Pingtan as of April 16, and 510 of them have finished business registration, ptnet.cn reported.

The Pingtan Free Trade Zone (FTZ) was officially inaugurated on April 21, appealing to more companies, domestic and overseas-funded, to come to Pingtan and benefit from favorable policies from local authorities.

The new businesses range from securities, online commerce, medicine and information technology.
