The construction of a business incubator for enterprises from Taiwan has shown progress, ptnet.cn reported on March 23.

About 600 workers are now putting the final touches on the exterior of buildings and other outdoor landscapes, according to an engineering supervisor, adding that outdoor work will be finished by May 1.

In spite of remaining construction work prior to its physical completion, the business incubator was inaugurated in November, with the Pingtan subsidiary of Taiwan’s Delta Electronics as the first settler.

The first phase of the park is comprised of two parts – a headquarters for small enterprises and a business operation center – with an area of about 13 hectares and investment of 2 billion yuan.

The park’s authority planned to expand to 10 sq km in the Zhongyuan district with investment soaring to 30 billion yuan in the long run.

The business incubator will focus on headquarters economy, e-commerce, cultural creation, software development and other high technologies, with incentives and preferential policies for entrepreneurs, especially young professionals from Taiwan, according to earlier reports.
