A delegation from the Fujian Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, headed by its director Zhi Yilong, visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) on Nov 24 to investigate its development.

As the sole experimental area on the Chinese mainland open to Taiwan, Pingtan hopes the provincial authority can facilitate a faster, more efficient customs clearance mechanism, said Li Dejin, director of PCPZ’s administrative committee.

In addition, Pingtan hopes the Bureau will make more preferential policies to go with the development of cross-border e-commerce, free trade port and logistics in Pingtan in order to cement its advantage in cross-Straits communication, he added.

The Fujian Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau is always concerned about Pingtan’s development, and will definitely explore more policies and innovation in working modes for Pingtan, said Zhi.
