A delegation from the China Development Industrial Bank (CDIB) in Taiwan visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) in Fujian province on Nov 11 to discuss cooperation.

Li Dejin, director of PCPZ’s administrative committee, briefed the guests on Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent inspection of Pingtan, and hoped the Bank could provide business opportunities and funds as well as new financing ideas.

After learning about Pingtan’s business environment and blueprint, Chen Xin, the Bank’s vice president, said sightseeing tourism has a great deal of potential in Pingtan. And Pingtan will pay it more attention as well as cultivate professionals to boost its development.

CDIB pioneered venture capital and investment banking in Taiwan and today it remains the predominant leader in venture capital business in Taiwan with a market share of over 30%.

Two of the Bank’s subsidiaries, along with some other equity investment companies, have jointly set up a fund management company in Pingtan, with a fund of up to 2 billion yuan ($3.3 billion).
