A delegation from the North America Chinese Alliance of Commerce Association visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) on Sept 25 to learn about its investment climate.

Pingtan, besides having close communications with Taiwan, has a good infrastructure after years of construction. It aims to open itself up to the international community, which it hopes the commerce association can help it do by promoting its image, said Li Dejin, director of PCPZ’s administrative committee.

The visitors inspected a series of engineering projects including a customs checkpoint, the Jidiao wharf, a beach at Tannan Bay, the duty-free Taiwan commodity market, the Haixia High-speed Passenger Terminal and so on.

Xu Jianlun, leader of the delegation, noted that the Association is fairly confident of Pingtan’s promising future and is willing to connect Pingtan to more overseas Chinese for investment.

Since its establishment in 2006, the North America Chinese Alliance of Commerce Association now has 350 member enterprises with more than 2,000 member entrepreneurs. The businesses of the association range from finance, technology, and medicine to cultural creation.
