The Dong’ao Fishing Port, situated at Aoqian town and located next to the Aoqian Passenger Terminal, has its eastern and northern revetments facing the sea.

The northern revetments have been built up. And about two thirds of the eastern revetment has been finished as well, as of Sept 23, Zhong Guangwei, chief engineer explained.

The AB and BC sections of the eastern revetment, with a total length of 430 meters, are slated to be constructed by the end of November and December, respectively.

“In other words, we will strive to complete the fishing port by next year,” said Zhong.

The port has a total shoreline of 1,640 meters and a waterside area of 610,000 sq meters. It will have a 2,000-ton wharf and another 16 smaller wharves.
