A delegation comprising more than 20 executives from various enterprises visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) on Sept 2 to seek investment opportunities.

The guests were bullish about Pingtan’s development prospects after a tour to Pingtan’s major projects which included a customs checkpoint, and Taiwan Business Incubator.

Pingtan is the largest area under customs supervision, and the closest place on the Chinese mainland to Taiwan, with a lot of favorable policies from both central and provincial authorities. It always welcomes entrepreneurs to make investments, said Li Deijin, director of PCPZ’s administrative committee.

You Mengjun, deputy director of the committee, explained Pingtan’s preferential policies in taxes, land use and financing to the executives. He highlighted the 15 percent corporate income tax as part of the many incentives all enterprises enjoy in Pingtan.

The enterprises all expressed their intention to settle in Pingtan in the future, and discussed cooperation programs with related departments.
