The main part of an express way that runs across Pingtan Island is slated to be ready before Oct 1, according to the construction company.

Workers were seen pouring concrete and asphalt onto the Jinjing Bay Boulevard on Aug 1, said the Pingtan Times.

The road, after completion, will start from Haixia Bridge on the western coast of Pingtan, and terminate at Aoqian Port on the eastern side, spanning about 8.4 kilometers.
