An inspection delegation consisting of 16 overseas Chinese in Chile paid a visit to the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone on April 2.

The guests toured a business operations center, a passenger ferry terminal and a headquarters for construction projects, as well as listening to briefings on Pingtan’s development progress in recent years.

The Chinese compatriots said they were impressed by what Pingtan had achieved in infrastructure construction in such a short period of time.

The visit was initiated by the China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification, a non-profit social organization devoted to boosting cross-Straits communications and organizing activties among Chinese across the globe.
