A new edition of the tourist map of Pingtan county in Fujian province was recently published, and 10,000 copies of the latest map have been handed out to potential investors in Pingtan, the local branch of the Fuzhou Survey Institute said on Tuesday.

The Pingtan branch of the institute designed the new edition, which includes more information on new bus routes, hotels, high-speed passenger ferries and other facilities. The new edition includes new icons – including 3D icons - for the county's scenic spots and various sites.

Wen Xiaodong, director of the Pingtan Survey Institute, said that the map includes more than two thirds of 300-plus islands under Pingtan's administration, and also big projects that are under construction in Pingtan – with the aim of giving investors updated information on the county.

The map is currently only available for investors in Pingtan, and will be circulated on the market in the near future, said an engineer with the institute.
