An inspection team from the Fujian provincial government visited Pingtan last Tuesday to conduct surveys on its development.

The team complimented Pingtan's achievement in industrial development, saying it has been playing a bigger role in cross-Straits communications.

The team officials also hoped Pingtan could enhance facilities construction, bring in more Fortune 500 companies and top-tier Taiwan companies for investment, and improve its ecological environment to attract more talent for further development.

During their one-day stay, the team toured Haixia Bridge, the Jinjin Bay resettlement residential community, Pingtan Business Operation Center and headquarters of small enterprises to carry out investigations.
